Presque Isle
We stayed at Pymatuning Lake KOA with Sarah and Kevin in order to visit Presque Isle in Erie, PA and Conneaut, OH. The drive from our campground to Presque Isle was almost an hour and the traffic getting into that State Park was heavy. We all took our bikes and found parking to use the trails around the Isle. It was a beautiful July day, not too hot and people were out at the beach with a few kids braving the water.
A monument to Commodore Perry was at the end of the Isle. Erie is where he had his ships made for his battles with the British.
There is a small light house on the Isle which was closed due to Covid-19.
The next day, we explored Conneaut and found a place to put the kayaks and paddle boards into the harbor. It was windy which made paddle boarding more difficult than the kayaks.
