I helped Sarah drive her Jeep from Seattle to Ohio in early January. After a couple of days finishing packing and buttoning up the tiny house, we headed east just as a storm system came from the Pacific. We made it over the Snoqualmie Pass and through eastern Washington, clipping Oregon, and into Idaho.After a night in Twin Falls, we took a sight-seeing detour to Craters of the Moon National Monument. This park is a higher elevation, so the snow depth had the visitor center closed (along with a government shutdown).Our trip now turned into a race to beat another storm from Texas. By the time we made it to Cheyenne, Wyoming, we tried to weave through the storm but I-80 was closed and we had to bide our time for a few hours.The rest of the trip was perilous with no thought given to taking photos. We were successful in finding hotels that we could bring Bugsy into the room so he didn’t have to sleep in the car. Thankfully, we made it home Sunday afternoon for a well deserved rest!
